On April 30, the 2025 International Disaster Medicine Symposium was successfully held at the Hyangseol Grand Auditorium of Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital.
The symposium, under the theme of ‘Tactical Counter-Terrorism and CBRN Explosion Medicine – Lessons Learned and Future Directions for Government and Civil Sectors’, brought together more than 80 participants including disaster medicine experts, government officials, military, police and fire service personnel, medical staff, and students.
Key sessions included in-depth presentations and discussions on:

▲ Latest trends in tactical disaster medicine
▲ Strategies to build strategic cooperation models between government and civilian sectors
Professor Hee-Jun Shin, Director of the Disaster Medicine Center (Department of Emergency Medicine), stated,
“This symposium focused not only on academic exchange, but also on designing practical disaster response models and establishing international collaboration systems.”
